Between Two Sizes? Go Up One. Here's Why
The short answer: on SHAPE's seamless bras, go up one. The knit stretches to you, so the larger size gives the cup room without loosening the band. That is why 34C, which sits at the top of M and the start of L, is an L. The exception is push-up and band-and-cup styles: there, use your exact size.
"Its 34C, but is that M or L?" and "L size ki beshi tight hoye jabe?" are, between them, the question we answer most often. The rule is short. The reason is worth a minute.
Why up, not down
Most bras are designed as if a woman's body never changes. It changes all the time: weight, hormones, water before and after a period. That is why SHAPE builds its seamless bras from a stretchable knit, so the product adapts to the body rather than the body squeezing into the product. On a fabric like that, the larger of two sizes is the one that moves with you. The smaller one only ever gets tighter.
What "going up" fixes
- Cup spill at the top or sides: the larger size adds cup room first.
- A band that feels tight by afternoon: the larger band still sits flat because the knit holds it.
- Straps carrying the weight: with the cup right, the band takes over.
What it does not do: make the bra loose. On Seamless Air Bra, Seamless Contour Bra and every other seamless style, the letter above you still holds. Women who go down a size to feel "supported" usually end up with the red flags in the fit test.
The exception: push-up and band-and-cup
A push-up only lifts when the cup matches you exactly; a bigger cup has nothing to push. And a band-and-cup style like the Comfort Curve Bra (bands 38 to 44, cups C to DD) is not a stretch knit: choose the exact band and cup, the way you would in any traditional bra.
