Show-Through Despite Padding: The Question Nobody Asks Out Loud
The short answer: Any padded SHAPE bra solves this, because a moulded pad puts a smooth layer between you and your clothes. Our padding runs from very light to heavy depending on the style. If you want show-through stopped and nothing else, choose a light pad. If you want shape as well, choose a heavier one.
This is one of the most common questions we get and almost nobody asks it in the store. It arrives as a message, late, often with an apology in front of it. There is nothing to apologise for. It is a practical question with a practical answer.
Why padding is the whole answer
A moulded pad is a pressed layer that holds its own shape. Because it holds its shape rather than following yours, nothing presses through it. This is true of light padding as much as heavy padding: the pad does not need to be thick to be smooth, it needs to be moulded.
An unlined or non-padded bra is a single layer of fabric that follows your shape, which is why it does not solve this. That is not a fault in the bra. It is what non-padded means.

The pad slides out of most seamless styles
Worth knowing, because it works both ways. On most of our seamless bras the pad is removable, so one bra gives you a padded version and a non-padded version. If you want smooth on a work day and natural at the weekend, you do not need two bras.

Under thin and pale fabric
Two separate things are happening under a thin white kameez: texture showing through, which padding fixes, and the bra itself being visible, which colour fixes. A shade close to your skin disappears. Coffee is our best-selling shade for this reason, and maroon also vanishes under white.
Questions women ask us
Does a thicker pad work better?
Not for this. Any moulded pad stops show-through. Thickness changes how much shape you get, which is a different decision.
Can I wear a non-padded bra and solve this another way?
A thicker outer layer or a slip helps. If the outfit is thin and fitted, a light moulded cup is simpler.
Will padding make me look bigger?
Light padding smooths without adding much. Heavy padding adds shape. If you want a smaller line, Mesh Minimizer Bra is the one to look at.
