Under an Aarong Panjabi: Not a Tank Top
The short answer: under a thin, comfortable panjabi, skip the tank top. It clutters the neckline and adds a layer in the heat. Wear a seamless bra in a shade close to your skin, and the panjabi hangs the way it was cut to. Why the tank top fails
A panjabi has a clean, open neckline and a straight drape. A tank top adds a second neckline that never sits in the same place, plus a layer that bunches at the waist and shows at the shoulder. In Dhaka heat it is also one layer too many. The result looks, in her word, clumsy.
