The short answer: 'Dara, boyfriend ke call dei.' 'Amar mone hoy eta i bhalo.' Every day at the counter, small moments happen that never make it into a post. This is where we collect them, told with permission and never with names. A woman walks in nervous and walks out laughing. A mother buys her daughter a first bra and tears up at the counter. These stories are the shop floor.

What Store Lore is
Store Lore is a series. Each entry is a real moment from one of our stores, told in a few lines with no names and no identifying details. We ask before we write, and the woman always gets to read it first.
Some are funny. Some are quiet. Some are the reason we open the shop every morning.
Why we tell these stories
A bra shop is a private place. Women share things at the fitting counter they do not share with friends. We think some of those moments deserve to be heard, not because they are dramatic, but because they are ordinary and true.
No one should feel alone in what they feel about their body. If one woman reads this and thinks 'that is exactly me', the post did its job.
The rules
No names. No photos of the person. No detail that could identify her. She says yes before we write, and she reads the draft. If she says no, it never existed.
We do not edit what she said to make it more interesting. The words are hers; we just write them down.
