About SHAPE

An emerging retail chain, growing fast.

SHAPE Lingerie is an emerging Bangladeshi retail chain, with a growing network of stores across Dhaka and a fast-growing digital business. SHAPE is built on the trust of the women it serves. More stores are opening this year, and marketing is scaling with them.

The role

Why this role exists

SHAPE’s retail stores are the primary driver of company performance. This role exists to increase the number of women who visit a SHAPE store, and to build the public reputation that brings them there.

Three areas require sustained work: the volume of customer reviews across store locations, the distribution of content across every channel SHAPE operates, and the presence SHAPE builds around each store.

This role owns all three.

The team

How the team works

  • Founder. Brand direction, final creative approval, and your manager.
  • Operating Partner. Commercial priorities, and your coach on the business side.
  • Growth Engineer. Paid media, measurement, and the marketing technology stack. Your coach on the technical side.
  • Content team. Produces the creative. You sequence their campaign work through one shared plan.
  • Retail Operations Manager. Runs the store teams, and makes sure staff ask for reviews at the till. You build the system that makes asking easy, and you hold the weekly number.
  • Retention Lead. Owns what happens after a woman has bought: repeat purchase, the customer insight loop, and loyalty. You bring her in the first time.
  • You. The brief, the calendar, the timeline, the coordination, and the postmortem.

Direction comes from more than one person, but never competing task lists. Everything flows through one campaign plan, which is yours.

Where this role starts and stops. You own getting a woman through the door for the first time, and the public reputation that brings her. Once she has bought, the Retention Lead owns bringing her back. You will work together constantly; the line between you is her first purchase.

The work

Responsibilities

This role covers three areas: reviews, distribution, and store presence.

Reviews

The reviews. This is the cheapest revenue in the company.

  • Own the review system: the script store staff use, the reporting, and the weekly count per store
  • Work with the Retail Operations Manager, who owns whether staff actually ask at the till, so the ask happens at every fitting
  • Turn Facebook recommendations and Girl Talk posts into Google reviews, one personal ask at a time
  • Make sure every review gets a reply within a day, by name
  • Send advocates to the store that needs reviews most

Distribution

The reach. One story, everywhere, the same day.

  • Take one story and get it onto every channel SHAPE operates, the same day it is made
  • Build the real women’s stories our founder set as the direction, in their words and with their permission
  • Keep every store’s Google Business Profile alive and complete: fresh photos, weekly posts, correct hours
  • Track whether each story actually went everywhere, or stopped at the first channel

Right now most of what we make is posted once and dies. Fixing that costs nothing but sequence.

Store presence

The stores. You cannot market a shop you have never stood in.

  • Run the launch week for every new store, and hand the next opening the same playbook
  • Work the Girl Talk community as the first audience for every story
  • Be in the stores often enough to know what is actually selling and who is actually buying it
  • Feed what you learn back to the people buying inventory

Requirements

What we look for

Outcomes, not years. We are not counting the months.

  • You have made something that put people in a physical place, not only online.
  • You have asked strangers for reviews and actually got them.
  • You can take one asset and ship it to ten channels in a day without it getting thinner each time.
  • You can read a store’s weekly numbers and say which store needs help this week, and why.
  • You can write in Bangla for a Bangladeshi woman, not translated English.

This role is measured on store visits, customer reviews, and whether every story actually reaches every channel, rather than on reach or engagement metrics.

The outcome

What this looks like twelve months from now

Three things are true, and all three are checkable:

  • The number of customer reviews across store locations has increased materially.
  • Every item of content produced is distributed across all channels on the day it is made.
  • Store walk-ins have increased.

Growth

The number of stores will keep changing

We opened two stores in the last two months and more are in the pipeline. Every opening is a launch week, a new Google Business Profile, and a new set of reviews to build from nothing. That is part of this job, not an interruption to it.

Before you apply

Questions candidates ask

Is this an office role or a store role?

Both. The role is based at SHAPE HQ, Niketon, Dhaka, from 10 AM, with regular store visits. You cannot market a shop you have never stood in, so being in the stores often enough to know what is actually selling and who is actually buying it is part of the work.

What is this role measured on?

This role is measured on store visits, customer reviews, and whether every story actually reaches every channel, rather than on reach or engagement metrics. Twelve months from now three things are true, and all three are checkable: the number of customer reviews across store locations has increased materially, every item of content produced is distributed across all channels on the day it is made, and store walk-ins have increased.

Who would I report to, and who would I work with?

You report to Monoshita Ayruani, Founder, who holds brand direction and final creative approval. You work daily with the Retail Operations Manager, the Retention Lead, the Growth Engineer, the content team, the store teams and the Operating Partner. Direction comes from more than one person, but never competing task lists. Everything flows through one campaign plan, which is yours.

Where does this role end and retention begin?

You own getting a woman through the door for the first time, and the public reputation that brings her there: reviews, distribution, store presence and launch weeks. Once she has bought, SHAPE’s Retention Lead owns bringing her back, along with the customer insight loop and loyalty. You work together constantly. The line between the two roles is her first purchase.

Who owns the review number, this role or store operations?

You own the system and the number. The Retail Operations Manager owns whether store staff ask at the till, because that role manages the store teams. You build the script, the reporting and the Google Business Profiles, you work the Facebook and Girl Talk backlog yourself, and you report reviews per store per week.

Do I need to write in Bangla?

Yes. Writing in Bangla for a Bangladeshi woman, not translated English, is one of the things we look for.

Does the number of stores change?

Yes. We opened two stores in the last two months and more are in the pipeline. Every opening is a launch week, a new Google Business Profile, and a new set of reviews to build from nothing. That is part of this job, not an interruption to it.

Is there an application deadline?

No. Applications are rolling, with no deadline. We review applications as they arrive and close each role as soon as we find the right person. Applying early makes a real difference. Shortlisted candidates hear from us within a week.
