She wraps a tape measure around your ribcage and chest, over your clothes. She tells you your size. She brings a few options. You try them on. She checks the fit: band level, straps snug, fabric smooth.
If nothing feels right, that is fine. You do not have to buy anything. You can try a different size or a different style, or leave with just your measurements and think about it. There is no pressure and no judgment.
After You Buy
Hand wash your bra with mild soap and air dry it. Machine washing breaks down the elastic and shortens the life of the bra. If you must use a machine, put it in a mesh bag and use a gentle cycle.
Check the fit every few months. Weight changes, hormones, and the natural stretch of fabric all shift fit over time. If the band rides up or the straps slide, it may be time for a new size, not a new bra.
