SHAPE Lingerie is an emerging Bangladeshi retail chain, with a growing network of 5 retail outlets in Dhaka. The Company is known for quality and the trust of the women it serves. As part of strengthening its operational foundation, the Company is expanding and formalizing its accounts and finance function.

The role

What you will do

The Sr. Executive, Accounts & Finance is responsible for the end-to-end operations of the accounts and finance function: monthly VAT filing, statutory compliance, monthly closing, audit readiness, banking coordination, and process improvement. The role contributes to a shorter cash conversion cycle and improved inventory turnover, both of which support responsible expansion. Management views this senior seat as key to institutionalizing financial discipline and preparing the business for future capital.

• Prepare and submit monthly VAT returns, TDS and AIT calculations, and related filings with the National Board of Revenue and other authorities.
• Deliver an accurate monthly close and Profit and Loss statement on time, every month.
• Coordinate all banking activity, loan documentation, and correspondence with external auditors.
• Establish and improve accounting processes, internal controls, templates, and documentation standards.
• Supervise and review the work of the Executive, Accounts & Finance.
• Partner with top management on reporting for inventory decisions, working-capital planning, and business performance.

Requirements

What we look for

• 4+ years of professional experience in accounts or finance operations. Retail or consumer brand experience is preferred.
• Independent, hands-on experience preparing and filing VAT returns and related statutory filings is essential.
• Demonstrated experience with multi-channel reconciliation across cash, card, POS, online platforms, and delivery partners.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
• Working knowledge of accounting software such as QuickBooks or Tally.
• Experience supporting statutory audit, bank reconciliation, and compliance filings independently.
• Able to work with limited supervision while keeping clear communication with top management.
• Willingness to work extended hours during month-end, filing deadlines, and audit periods.

Preferred

Track record over titles.

We hire on demonstrated ability, professional track record, and the range of tasks you have personally executed. Applications are welcome from candidates with a strong practical background, whether or not you hold a Master's degree or a fully completed certification.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• Partly completed professional certification is welcome (CA CC, ACCA, CMA, or CIMA). Candidates progressing through these are considered for the higher end of the range.
• Experience supporting bank loan documentation or capital raise activities.

• Base salary of BDT 28,000 to 35,000 per month, with the higher end for a strong track record or certification progress.
